Weekend fun!

So I'll tell ya, when Dad gets a weekend day off and the weather is nice, we go CRAAZY!

The party started Friday when we went down to the "Grandin Chillage." Dad put me into our new Kelty pack and we hoofed it the half mile down the road to a place where they had live music and drinks for the local residents. It was a blast...but they kept me up too late!

All right! Let's go to the Chillage!

After I slept in a bit on Saturday, the threw me in the dern backpack AGAIN to go BACK to the same place...this time to get veggies for dinner! We took the boys.

And that's not the end of it!! They put me in the car, where I took a little nap, and then put me on Dad's back again...this time to go see some awesome waterfalls near Blacksburg, along with Aunt Kathy (Nian).

After the falls, we went to Kathy's house for dinner and drinks. Woohoo!!! Par-tay!!!

Once again, I was up waaaay too late. Mom took me grocery shopping the next day, but all I really wanted to do was sleep.

Those who know me know I'm a very lovable little girl...but they might not know that I am also very lov-ING! I mean, they certainly know how I feel about Andrew...I mean, it's written all over my face every time I see the man. Shew...have you SEEN the man? My word...

I've become quite the playful little girl...

You know how when you're up too long, you get really loopy? Yeah, it's kind of like that.

So sometimes my parents try to tell me what to do. "Eat this, do this, kiss the baby blah blah." Well, sometimes I'm not a huge fan. So I tell them.

I will say, however, that "kiss the baby" is one of my cutest tricks!

They don't call em that for nothin! I'm climbing that developmental ladder, but sure am taking my time!

The past few weeks have seen me become much more conversant. It's pretty clear now as my repetitive babbles turn into complex jabbering I have thoughts to express. Not MY fault you can't understand em! Maybe one of these days Dad will video it so some of you can try to translate.

Although, sign language works well. I even made up my OWN sign for "hungry." Here I say "more":

I've also developed a new habit. Mom and Dad have frequently bemoaned not having a "cuddly" baby, but I have only just realized how awesome it is to climb up into laps and sit there while I get read to.


This weekend we celebrated Gigi's 60th birthday! Holy wow, them are some big balloons!


She also got a steak dinner, cake(s), a party with friends, new electronics and ME!!


Did you guys know that climbing into drum sets is HIL-ARIOUS!??
