Ah. 2 and a half. What a good age...

Mommy and Daddy haven't really done a good job keeping a running list of "sh** my daughter says" or "why is my toddler crying?", so I thought I'd throw you guys a few gems:

I had a tantrum because mommy had to go to the bathroom: "I want the big Heitz. I want the boy with two feet."

"I want to take a bath with no toys. That would be weird."

"I want cookies and goldfish and raisins." (see, this kid gets me.)

Mommy: "the toilet is broken"
me: "Mommy, did you pee too hard?"

(for anyone doubting the accuracy of the quotes, ie that Dad has added words or corrected grammar...you need to come spend more time with me.)

I've started to figure out all these different types of people. Boys and girls are obvious, and when they grow up, they become boynups and girlnups, which as a group are called "grownups."

By the way, see below for more hiking pictures.

Ramble on...

...sing my song. On my way...leaves are falling all around.

Ok, hang on. Got lost in classic rock there for a second. Just thinking about our weekend, rambling through the woods of Kentucky.

But let me back up.

I went to another wedding! Daddy's friend Colleen got married and I got to see her in her pretty white dress. It was so much fun (so much that I say that my favorite part of the weekend was Colleen!)

Congratulations, Colleen and Brett.

By the way, the cupcakes were awesome. Well, the icing was, at least.

I love icing!!!
OMG I ate too much icing
What else did we do? Hm...I'm thinking about it...

(yes, these are phrases I utter now. "Let me think about it" and such)

We went HIKING!!!

Sky lift!

I learned how to use a Camelbak. Good thing Mom carried it for me!

Hahaha...you think I walked the whole way???
Who do you think took the pictures, and what was one his back?

THERE WERE HORSIES NEAR THE CABIN!!!
Oh, and lest I forget...we went dancing!!

It's a hoedown!

I am my own woman...

And just to make sure everyone knows it, I'm going to choose MY way of doing things.

For instance, people are now called by their last names. "I want Reynolds to pick me up." "Heitz, come play with me." I'd do well as a frat boy.

(I'm actually kind of obsessed with last names in general. I have for a long time asked "what's his name?" when meeting someone new. Now it's "what's his last name?")

You know the hush little baby song? Where "papa" or "mommy" or "daddy" are gonna buy you a mocking bird? Nope. I have decided that it's PopPop. Yep..."PopPop's gonna buy you a mockingbird." If Mommy (ahem...Reynolds) or Heitz sing it wrong, I make sure to correct them, "noooo POPpop...."

Oh by the way, I found my hair.

On that "I do what I want" note...Daddy wanted me to sing happy birthday to his friend Colleen, but no. I'd rather ham it up for the camera. He turned it around so I could see myself, thinking that would work, but nope.

Making up new songs...

Yeah baby. I'm SAILING!

Removing something from the milk cup. He says he "fell on it"

Don't I just look SMASHing?
