Well, we made it safely to Boston. It's COLD!! And the grass is white...very strange place this "northeast" is. Well, at least I brought a hat.
Hi Dad!
are you sure this is right?
We're staying at a place called the Yawkey Family Inn, which is owned by Children's Hospital Boston and lets families stay for a good price.
Yawkey Family Inn
It's really great! Lots of space, comfy chairs for the big people, dinners that are made by local churches and other groups, and tons of new people for me to woo with my award winning smile! (Who said babies were supposed to get social anxiety??)
The schedule of events is that tomorrow, bright and early, we go to the hospital for my "pre-op" visit. That should take most of the morning. On Tuesday they give me the sleepy-time medicines and do a whole bunch of stuff to get really, really detailed pictures of that mess of holes and crossed wires called my "heart." Wednesday is the big day, and from there it's a little up in the air...it all depends on how well I do after the surgery!
